Two Factor Authentication (TFA)
The Rock's internet banking site features Two Factor Authentication (TFA), also known as Second Factor Authentication. TFA is delivered through SMS (or text message).
Customers registered for TFA can complete additional transactions or functions through internet banking that otherwise require that Customer Care assistance is contacted. Examples of transactions or functions that can be completed online if you are registered for TFA include:
- Adding and/or activating a 3rd party payee;
- Changing daily limits and payment limits. This applies to payees who are new to your list and/or are not on The Rock's Trusted Biller list e.g. Telstra, Ergon;
- Performing a one-off payment to payees who are not on your list and/or are not on The Rock's Trusted Biller list; and
- Changing personal details, such as resetting your password.
In order to complete these transactions or functions, a "one-time-only" activation code will be sent to the mobile phone number associated with your account. This activation code is then inserted in the system to authenticate the transaction or function.
