More information about our term deposits
A term deposit term that suits your needs.
You can choose any term between 1 and 36 months that best suits your needs.
The term does not have to be in whole months. If you know that you want access to the term deposit funds on a particular day, we will set the maturity for that date.
Rollover
Unless you specify otherwise, we will rollover your term deposit on maturity for a similar term at the prevailing standard term deposit interest rate for that term (view our term deposit rates). You don't have to do anything! If you wish to change the term on maturity you can do this any time up to seven days after the maturity date, by calling our free call number 1800 806 645.
With our Internet banking system you can check your account details at any time.
Flexible Term Deposit Interest Payments
If you would like to lock-in one of our competitive longer term deposit rates, but don't want to wait until the maturity date to receive your interest, you can choose monthly or quarterly term deposit interest payments.
The term deposit interest can be paid to you by cheque, by transfer to another account with The Rock, or by electronic transfer to your account with another financial institution.
If you choose monthly or quarterly term deposit interest payments on a longer term the rate of interest is reduced by 0.2% per annum.
